Windsor half marathon, Sunday 21 September

I'm well over my fundraising target now - thanks to everyone for being so generous with your support.

Only the tiny matter of the Windsor half marathon this coming Sunday to go now (and packing, and last minute purchases, goodbyes, final Hep B jab, packing etc.). I got a few good runs in whilst on holiday in Spain, which generally involved running up lots of hills in the dry late summer heat. I only cheated once, in Barcelona, where there was a choice between an escalator or 5 flights of steps going up to the park... well which would you choose?

The running raffle has been a storming success, with 106 tickets being sold. That's £106 raised for Raleigh International Trust - hooray! Guesses have ranged from 1 hour 34 minutes to "will not finish" (thanks for the vote of confidence there!), with a large cluster around the 1 hour 50-55 minute range. The person with the nearest guess will win £25, kindly donated by... me, and supporters on the day are very welcome. The race will start at 1pm and if you're more into post-race type celebrations, I should be finishing about 3pm.

In the meantime, I will eat a lot of pasta.
